Victim 002: Scourge

The Sonic/Sally pairing has relied on a tired formula of shoving Sonic's other love interests onto other characters(and Sally's too when they get in the way of her being with the main character for too long). Scourge is perhaps the biggest victim in this regard because for no reason, the writers ignore the feelings he had for his previous love interest.

Fiona Fox needed to get shoved out of the picture for Sally's relationship with Sonic to pick up again. In order to do that, Scourge was shoved onto Fiona to get her out of the way. However as the picture above indicates, he sees Rouge as the best and forgets about the other girls. Issues later, for no apparent reason, he suddenly stops liking Rouge and is head over heels for someone he considered inferior in comparison (Fiona).
